Türkiye’s President of Religious Affairs, Safi Arpaguş, met with a Turkmen delegation led by Yalkap Hojagulyyev, Chief Imam of the Arkadagyň Ruhy Metjidi (Spiritual Mosque of Arkadag) and Rector of the Higher School of Theology. The two sides discussed key aspects of cooperation in religious education and the training of qualified personnel in this field, highlighting the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and spiritual ties between the two countries.
During the talks, which were also attended by Ensari Yentürk, Director General for Foreign Relations at the Religious Affairs, the parties explored opportunities for implementing joint projects. The discussions focused on matters including educating Turkmen students under the Religious Affairs (Diyanet) scholarship programme, organising academic exchanges, providing textbooks and educational resources, and planning reciprocal visits.
