The unmanned autonomous combat vehicles "Barkan", put into service by Turkish defence industry companies, are standing out among their competitors with their superior performance.
Designed for the high-intensity battlefields of the future, "Barkan" vehicles have been developed as multi-purpose tracked unmanned ground vehicles.
The vehicle, which is capable of carrying various types of ammunition, has been put through its paces in actual combat testing.
The unmanned ground vehicles, comprising "Barkan" and "Barkan 2" models, are capable of performing tasks such as assault, casualty transfer, bomb disposal, surveillance, and reconnaissance, as well as war damage assessment.
"Barkan 2" has been featured with a hydrogen propulsion system. The system has achieved a global first with its ability to fire various types of ammunition in succession.
The vehicles, which are capable of operating under a single command system with other equipment like drones and unmanned maritime vehicles, will adapt to complex and evolving war environments and have an impact on warfare.
