After participating in high-level talks on the economic dialogue between Türkiye and the EU in Brussels today, Mehmet Simşek, Minister of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye, published a statement on the social network X, expressing his hopes for an improvement in economic relations with the EU.
In his post, Mehmet Şimşek said, "Six years later, today in Brussels, we held a summit on economic dialogue between Türkiye and the EU in a very constructive atmosphere. During our fruitful meeting with our EU colleagues, we agreed to develop our economic relations and strengthen our cooperation in all areas. We also discussed the modernisation of the EU customs union and visa facilitation."
