Türkiye’s goods exports for 2025 reach record high (Xinhua)

Türkiye's goods exports in 2025 rose by 4.5 per cent compared to the previous year, achieving a record high of $273.4 billion, as announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye.

Speaking at an event held at the İstanbul Congress Centre, Erdoğan said the country's combined exports of goods and services were estimated to reach $396.5 billion in 2025.

Erdoğan highlighted Türkiye's robust automotive sector, noting that it produces approximately 1.5 million vehicles annually and exports more than $41 billion. The President went on to add that the country ranks as the fourth-largest automotive production base in Europe and the 12th largest worldwide.

Erdoğan also noted the exponential rise in defence exports, from $248 million in 2002 to $9.87 billion in 2025.

President Erdoğan announced Türkiye's export target for 2026 as $410 billion.
