President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye stated that Türkiye's exports hit a record high of $262 billion in 2024.
During his address in İstanbul, Erdoğan mentioned that exports rose 2.5% over 2023.
Erdoğan noted that, as part of its economic development strategy, the Turkish government adopted a number of export-promoting policies in 2024, noting that the trade deficit was $82.2 billion, down about $24.1 billion from the year prior.
Pointing out that resources totalling roughly $699 million have been made available to promote exports, Erdoğan revealed that the fund designated for export promotion will be raised to $933 million in 2025.
