Türkiye welcomes the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan's border demarcation initiatives.
Describing the agreement reached between Baku and Yerevan regarding border demarcation (delimitation) as a significant step, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan of Türkiye stated: "Peace in the South Caucasus is in the interest of all."
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan of Türkiye noted that "peace in the South Caucasus is in the interest of all" at the news conference with his counterpart Ceyhun Bayramov on Saturday during his working visit to Azerbaijan. Border delimitation and normalisation of ties between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia is a matter of significance to us."
Stating that Türkiye understands Baku's concerns regarding this matter, Fidan said: "The understanding between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia on the matter of the Delimitation Commission is an important step."
