Türkiye to Host 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara (FENA)

Presidency's Head of Communications of the Republic of Türkiye, Burhanettin Duran, announced on Wednesday that Türkiye will host the 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara on 7–8 July 2026.

In a statement shared on the social media platform X, Duran said: “The NATO Summit to be held in Ankara on 7–8 July is not merely a diplomatic gathering; it is a critical threshold that will shape the future of the global security architecture.”

Recalling that under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Türkiye continues to play a decisive role in the global order as an actor that assumes responsibility, produces solutions and embodies the spirit of alliance solidarity in practice, Duran stated: “With its geostrategic position, strong sense of alliance and effective role in crisis management, our country continues to stand at the centre of transatlantic security.”

Duran also noted that by hosting NATO leaders, Türkiye would once again demonstrate its determination to strengthen peace, stability and collective security.
