--Israel Has Still Not Released Some Turkish Citizens on the Fleet--
On Wednesday, Türkiye strongly condemned the intervention of Israeli forces on the flotilla trying to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.
According to Ankara, the detention of ships is an act of piracy and a violation of international law.
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the intervention against the Freedom Flotilla, which included Turkish citizens, demonstrated that the "genocidal" Israeli government was against all peace initiatives and that it escalated tensions in the region, harming peace efforts.
The statement noted that all efforts were made for the release and repatriation to Türkiye of the Turkish citizens detained by Israel, and that coordination was maintained with other countries regarding their own citizens.
