Türkiye sends energy delegation to Damascus (France)

Türkiye said a delegation from the Turkish Ministry of Energy travelled to Syria on Saturday to help restore access to energy services following the ouster of Bashar al-Assad.

"A team from the Ministry of Energy is on its way to Damascus," said the Minister of Energy, Alparslan Bayraktar, at a meeting organised by the ruling AK Party in Nevşehir.

"We will assess Syria's infrastructure, energy, and electricity requirements, and we will do our best to ensure access to these essential services," he added.

"We welcomed our Syrian brothers and sisters, and Türkiye stood firmly on the side of the truth," Bayraktar continued.

"There was a fire in our neighbour's house. Now, thank Allah, we will do our best to rebuild it," he added.

Bayraktar highlighted that there is still a significant amount of work to be accomplished in the war-torn country.

"Restoring Syria to stability is of utmost importance," he said.
