The Directorate of Communications refuted news circulating on social media and media outlets regarding plans to relocate Gaza residents to Türkiye in exchange for $10 billion.
The Centre for Combating Disinformation of the Directorate of Communications issued the following statement: "The claim circulated on certain media outlets and shared on social media that 'Preparations are being made: Gazans will be relocated to Türkiye in exchange for $10 billion' is not true. Türkiye supports the honourable struggle of Palestinian people against occupation and is clearly not involved in any relocation plan that will displace Gazans from their homelands."
The statement also refuted the claim that Türkiye is actively working to relocate Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Syria or Türkiye as a product of disinformation.
The statement read as follows: "The claims manufactured by the Israeli media, which also gained traction in our country, have been refuted before by our Centre... Türkiye categorically rejects any initiative regarding the relocation of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip or the West Bank. Türkiye maintains its relentless efforts to put an immediate stop to the heavy bombing targeting the Gaza Strip, prevent any harm to civilians, and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. Unfounded claims of Israeli propaganda should not be given credit."
