President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye stated that they will not approve of the initiatives aimed at building cooperation with Israel within NATO until the resolution of the situation in Gaza. President Erdoğan's speech was live-broadcast by TRT.
Speaking after a cabinet meeting, the President said, "We conveyed to our allies during the NATO Summit, held on 9-11 July, that stopping Israel is a must. We also voiced that we will not approve of the initiatives aimed at building cooperation with Israel within NATO until a lasting peace is established. We will remain in solidarity with Palestine and not change our attitude towards Israel as long as they maintain their massacre in Gaza.”
