Türkiye successfully launched a probe rocket built with its own advanced engineering technologies from the "Igneada" field. The Turkish Space Agency was cited in "TASS"'s coverage of the report.
This was a test launch. The estimated altitude that the rocket needs to reach is 550 km. It is the first flight to such an altitude.
The rocket is an integral part of the Micro-Satellite Launching System project introduced by “Roketsan”.
The objective is to launch micro-satellites into orbit at 300–400 km altitude. The rocket is designed to carry a payload of up to 100 kg.
