Türkiye’s Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, announced that authorities have launched a “Call for the Development of a Domestic Nuclear Reactor.”
In a social media post, Kacır stated, “With the ‘Call for the Development of a Domestic Nuclear Reactor’ that we have initiated, we aim to strengthen our energy security, reduce foreign dependency, and contribute to our net-zero emissions target. We are committed to developing high-technology reactors with domestic production capabilities.”
According to the Minister, applications under this call will be accepted until December 31, 2025.
