The "Trend" news agency, referring to the NTV Turkish news website, reported that Türkiye plans to sell 40 billion cubic metres of natural gas annually via the gas hub.
Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez provided information on the matter, saying, "We have the capacity to import 100 billion cubic metres of natural gas, but we only consume 55–60 billion of it. The remaining 40 billion cubic meters can be sold to Europe. "
The Minister added that Türkiye is currently negotiating gas trade deals with major European clients.
