Foreign Minister: The territorial issue must be solved to resolve the Ukrainian issue.
The territorial issue in Ukraine must be resolved to achieve a peaceful resolution. In the process, the parties will be required to make a series of "unpleasant decisions." Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, in a statement to TRT World, said, "We would like to see the territorial integrity of Ukraine is preserved in an ideal world. But this is the time of war. And unfortunately, as a result of this war, we have to make some choices, some bitter choices. So, this is what they are trying to decide now."
Turkish Foreign Minister further stated that all parties to the conflict, including those who are not directly involved, are prioritising their interests.
Volodymyr Zelensky publicly declared that he would not consent to any decision to be made between the United States and Russia regarding the situation in Ukraine in the wake of this development.
