Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye: Moscow and Kyiv will reach an agreement to hold negotiations in the coming days.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan stated at a press conference held in Ankara that Russia and Ukraine might reach an agreement to begin negotiations aimed at resolving their conflict in the coming days.
According to TASS, Minister Fidan stated that the situation is currently at an impasse and the parties are trying to get the support of the United States. Minister Fidan said, "I believe the parties will reach a compromise and get together in the next few days. There is a problem that needs to be solved now. As you know, the Ukrainians demand a ceasefire before starting the negotiations. As the host and mediator of the negotiations, Ankara is ready to make every contribution to the resolution of the Ukraine conflict." Minister Fidan called on the parties to come together as soon as possible and reach an agreement on a ceasefire.
Minister Fidan noted that President Vladimir Putin of Russia, President Donald Trump of the United States, and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine have offered their proposals. He emphasised the complexity of the situation while highlighting the positive developments that have taken place, underscoring the significance of Türkiye's central role in this process.
