Türkiye: Erdoğan and Trump achieved progress on many issues (TASS)

Head of Communications of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Burhanettin Duran, stated regarding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s visit to the United States that significant progress was achieved on many issues during the meeting in Washington between the Presidents of Türkiye and the United States, Tayyip Erdoğan and Donald Trump.

In his post on X, Duran said, ''President Erdoğan's historic meeting with US President Trump at the White House took place in a cordial atmosphere. The meeting addressed a wide array of topics, including the defence industry, trade, energy, and regional and global issues, with substantial progress on certain matters."

Duran stated that “President Erdoğan’s U.S. trip, which included stops in New York and Washington, was highly intense and productive,” adding, ''As the voice of Palestine and the conscience of the international community at the United Nations General Assembly, President Erdoğan also put forward the regional and global vision of Turkish foreign policy in his address. He conducted bilateral and multilateral meetings with many heads of state and government across Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Europe and gave interviews to media outlets such as Newsweek and Fox News.''
