The Presidency of Türkiye described Israel's actions in Gaza as genocide that will exacerbate the humanitarian crisis.
"We strongly condemn Israel's decision to occupy Gaza, which will exacerbate human rights violations and humanitarian crises... Israel’s efforts to cement its occupation breach both international legal norms and humanitarian values.
Given the intensified bombardments targeting civilians, the destruction of infrastructure, and the obstruction of basic humanitarian necessities, Israel’s actions in Gaza blatantly constitute genocide," Burhanettin Duran, the Presidency's Head of Communications of Türkiye, said in a statement.
According to Duran, the international community needs to firmly stand against Israel's unilateral actions and actively pursue an equitable resolution to this conflict.
