Türkiye denies US used its airspace in strikes on Iran (Russia)

In a statement from the Presidency, it was noted that Türkiye's airspace was not used in the US-led strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities.

The statement released by the Centre for Combating Disinformation under the Presidency's Directorate of Communications read, "The claims in various platforms alleging that 'American bombers targeting Iran’s nuclear facilities used Turkish airspace' are false and constitute disinformation. Türkiye's airspace was not violated in any way during the attacks initiated by Israel against Iran, nor has it been used by the United States in its strikes targeting Iran's nuclear facilities."

The statement also said, "In truth, the bombers in question departed from the United States, reached the region via the Strait of Gibraltar, proceeded through the southern Mediterranean to Israel, and conducted their strikes on Iran after crossing Iraqi airspace. Following the strike, the bombers retraced their route in reverse, conducting aerial refueling over the Mediterranean (south of Crete) before returning to the United States."
