The Turkish government announced on December 31 that a visa-exemption policy will apply to citizens of the People’s Republic of China holding ordinary passports, effective as of January 2, 2026.
According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan signed a Presidential Decree granting visa-free entry to citizens of the People’s Republic of China holding ordinary passports, for tourism and transit purposes, for a maximum stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period, effective from January 2, 2026.
