Turkish and Italian companies will submit a report on the tests of the crewed/uncrewed teaming system.
According to an Anadolu Agency report, Turkish Baykar and Italian Leonardo companies will showcase the results of their collaboration on integrating manned and unmanned aircraft at the Farnborough International Airshow.
A private briefing meeting will focus on the testing of the crewed/uncrewed teaming concept. Live test flights in Türkiye were conducted with the M-346 trainer jet and the Bayraktar Kızılelma UCAV.
Moreover, the Bayraktar TB3 drone will also be exhibited at the fair. The distinguishing feature of this model is its capability to take off and land on short runways. This aircraft has been positioned as the flagship project of the LBA Systems joint venture, established with the aim of entering the European market.
Baykar and Leonardo signed the agreement last year. Under the collaboration, the Turkish partner contributes its expertise in designing and developing the platforms, while the Italian counterpart supplies the electronic systems and develops the drone swarm capabilities.
