A battalion of special forces has been deployed in Kosovo upon request of NATO Allied Joint Force Command amid rising tensions recently, Anadolu Agency reports.
The first battalion affiliated to the 65th Mechanized Infantry Brigade Command (Lüleburgaz) arrived in Kosovo in vehicles at the weekend. The second part of the special forces departed from Çorlu military airport and arrived at “Adem Jashari” International Airport in Pristina yesterday. Turkish soldiers were welcomed by Sabri Tunç Angili, Turkish Ambassador to Pristina. The special forces then headed to the “Sultan Murat” Barracks.
