According to AZERTAC, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye commented on the outputs of the trilateral meeting held in Lachin on May 28 by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Pakistan, stating, "With the liberation of Azerbaijani territories from 30 years of occupation, the region can now become a hub of development and progress. I firmly believe that the Lachin International Airport, which is inaugurated today, will contribute significantly to regional development and integration with the world."
The Turkish President congratulated Azerbaijan on the occasion of May 28 Independence Day and paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country's integrity.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan described Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan as "brotherly countries with relations evolving based on mutual respect." Noting that the combined population of the three countries has reached 350 million and that their total GDP is $1.5 trillion, the Turkish President highlighted, "Our countries share common ideals." Erdoğan stated that Ankara is committed to future steps towards enhancing economic relations with Baku and Islamabad.
"Ankara supports every step towards enhancing the strategic partnership among our countries," Erdoğan said, emphasising the significance of the collaboration between Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan in regional developments.
