The Turkish Foreign Ministry called for measures to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea.
The Ministry expressed deep concern that the war between Russia and Ukraine is spreading further into the Black Sea and affecting civilian vessels.
In a statement, the Ministry said, “Unless preventive measures are taken, the escalation in the Black Sea will have multifaceted negative repercussions, including for food security.”
Earlier, it was reported that a Turkish-owned civilian vessel carrying fruits and vegetables in the Black Sea was attacked by an unmanned aerial vehicle.
