The white version of Türkiye’s first indigenous electric automobile, known as "Togg," will be supplied to Turkmenistan. Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu made the relevant statement.
While visiting the Togg Exhibition in Antalya on Sunday, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu announced that there was great interest in the Turkish-made Togg automobile from all over the world, particularly the Turkic states.
Togg, Türkiye’s first electric automobile, was delivered to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan this week, on April 4. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said, “It will be delivered to other countries such as Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.” Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkmenistan requested the car in white colour and that white automobiles would be available in a month.
Minister Çavuşoğlu indicated that Turkmenistan requested a white version of Togg and said, “Turkmenistan wanted white automobiles, and we will send white ones there. Today, we talked with my brother Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid, on the phone, and I told him that the white automobiles will be available in a month, we can send them next month, or we have scarlet ones available right now if you want we can send the scarlet ones immediately.”
On October 29, last year, the Togg factory in Bursa, Türkiye, was inaugurated. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the event and tested the Togg electric automobile. Erdoğan stated that 175 thousand cars will be produced annually, with manufacturing exceeding one million by 2030. The vehicle is available in two versions, each with a 200 or 400-horsepower electric engine. The version with 320 kW of power will be able to speed from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The car's powerful version has a range of about 500 kilometres.
