TIKA seeks to intensify contacts with Turkmenistan on cultural monuments

The President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Serkan Kayalar, expressed their willingness to enhance cooperation with Turkmenistan during his visit to Anau, which was recently elected as the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World.

According to TRT Avaz, TIKA wants to strengthen cooperation in Turkmenistan's Merv and Konye-Urgench cities, as well as Anau, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World.

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), which works to preserve common historical and cultural artefacts in over 170 countries, also helps countries develop through projects ranging from health to agriculture.

TIKA, which contributes to the development of the institutional infrastructure in all sectors of the economy, from health to agriculture, as well as restoration in cooperating countries, finished restoring the tomb of Sultan Sanjar in Merv in 2004, where the Turkish nation's historical roots are located.
