TEKNOFEST, Türkiye’s largest technology and innovation festival, opened its doors to visitors in Istanbul today.
According to an APA report, the festival, which was scheduled to remain open until September 21, was organised at Atatürk Airport.
As part of the event jointly organised by the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), visitors will be presented with military and civilian aviation displays, as well as start-up projects, robotics technologies, smart city solutions, and other innovative products.
A record number of participants have registered for this year’s festival. A total of 565,000 teams and 1.1 million individuals will showcase their projects across various competitions. Teams that secure first place in the competitions will receive a total of 65 million TL in prize money and over 85 million TL in financial support.
As part of TEKNOFEST, military aerobatic teams such as SOLOTÜRK and the Turkish Stars will perform aerial displays, alongside various science shows and interactive zones designed for children and young people.
Attendance at the festival is free of charge; however, online registration is required. The event will be open to visitors daily from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The main purpose of TEKNOFEST is to foster young people’s interest in science and technology and to support Türkiye’s “National Technology Move”.
