According to Anadolu Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. Speaking at the G20 summit in Brazil, Erdoğan said, “In the face of the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza, I once again call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire.”
As reported by BTA, Erdoğan highlighted the humanitarian crisis in the Palestinian region under Israeli blockade, stating that 96% of the population—more than 2 million people—lack access to healthy food and water. “Türkiye has provided over 86,000 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza,” the president noted, adding that Ankara’s aid to Lebanon has exceeded 1,300 tons.
