President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with President President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan. Erdoğan expressed his appreciation to Azerbaijan for their willingness to assist in preventing forest fires in Türkiye. He emphasised the need for BE-200CS amphibious aircraft for firefighting efforts and expressed his gratitude for the decision to send this aircraft from Azerbaijan to Türkiye. The Turkish President described it as another demonstration of the strategic alliance and brotherhood between the two nations.
President Ilham Aliyev stated that the BE-200CS amphibious aircraft would soon be sent to Türkiye and reiterated Azerbaijan's willingness to provide any extra assistance needed to fight the fires in the brotherly country.
The Presidents emphasised that Azerbaijan and Türkiye were always on each other's side and provided mutual support. During their phone call, the Heads of State of the two brotherly countries discussed the future of friendship, brotherhood, and alliance relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
