President of Uzbekistan to visit Türkiye

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan will travel to Ankara on March 15-16 at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye to attend the Extraordinary Meeting of the Heads of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS).

The agenda for the extraordinary meeting includes discussions about the development of multilateral cooperation in the field of managing emergencies and providing humanitarian assistance, as well as coordination in the field of preventing and eliminating the consequences of natural disasters. International and regional issues will also be addressed.

As part of the meeting, a large number of bilateral meetings are also planned. It is worth noting that Uzbekistan is currently the term president of the Organisation of Turkic States.

More than 30 multilateral events will be held as a result of the agreements reached during the Samarkand meeting to further develop cooperation in the fields of trade, green economy, investment, innovation, transportation, logistics, science, education, and culture.

The main goal of the Organisation of Turkic States, an international organisation that connects Turkic countries, is to foster comprehensive cooperation among its member states.
