President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye has announced plans to inaugurate three additional boron processing plants in Eskişehir.
Erdoğan said the pilot facility inaugurated in Eskişehir would begin processing 1,200 metric tons of ore per year, followed by the establishment of another facility that will increase annual production to 570,000 metric tons.
Speaking at the opening ceremony held in Eskişehir, Erdoğan stated, "Three new boron processing plants will be constructed in Eskişehir this year, with a total investment of 501 million Turkish liras."
Türkiye is the world's largest boron producer, accounting for approximately 73% of global boron reserves.
