On December 10, President Erdoğan of Türkiye spoke by phone with NATO Secretary-General Rutte about the latest developments in Syria, as reported by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications of the Republic of Türkiye.
Erdoğan stated that Türkiye consistently defended Syria's territorial integrity and stability since the beginning of the civil war in Syria. President Erdoğan emphasised that Syria must be governed by the Syrian people and that Türkiye would continue to do everything in its power for the construction of a unified Syria freed of terrorism.
