Talks on a ceasefire in Ukraine continue in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye. Delegations from Ukraine and Russia are visiting the Turkish Naval Forces in Ankara, as reported by the Turkish media.
According to Ukrainska Pravda, Turkish media reports based on ministry sources conveyed that a meeting on the security of the Black Sea will be held in Ankara next week with representatives from Russia and Ukraine.
The Ministry of National Defence issued a statement that Russian and Ukrainian officials will meet at the Naval Forces headquarters in Ankara on April 15 and 16. It was stated that following a potential ceasefire, the priority would be to ensure peace in the Black Sea.
Foreign military representatives are also attending the meeting, as per the statement, but their names remain unknown. The meeting will discuss possible military plans to ensure peace in the Black Sea.
Following talks in Saudi Arabia on March 23-25, Russia and Ukraine agreed to discuss the safety of navigation in the Black Sea. However, Russia subsequently issued a list of requests, including the easing of certain agricultural sanctions. While the US said that it would consider these requests, Europe refused to ease sanctions.
