According to AZERTAC's report, in his speech at the 14th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA) in Astana, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT) Numan Kurtulmuş said, "Türkiye will continue taking steps to contribute to lasting peace in the region and the international arena. Ankara is also making efforts to promote peace, justice, and development in the Turkic world."
Highlighting the challenges of our age and the problems humanity faces in the context of the restructuring of the international relations systems in his speech, the Speaker of the GNAT stated, "The bipolar world is now a thing of the past, and despite all claims, a unipolar world order is not sustainable. The prevailing trend in international relations today is the search for paths leading to a multipolar world."
Emphasising the increasing importance of cooperation and solidarity among the states, Numan Kurtulmuş said, "Our countries are faced with the responsibility to build a common future in the context of threats and conflicts in surrounding regions. If we want to achieve our declared goals, we must include all members of our large family of 300 million people and act together."
Kurtulmuş expressed hope that Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan would soon become members of TURKPA and called for steps to boost the reputation of TURKPA, which has a 17-year history.
