New urea plant to be built in Turkmenistan through Japanese-Turkish collaboration (Turkmenistan)

Serdar Berdimuhamedov's visit to Japan enhanced the legal framework of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation through the establishment of new agreements. Meetings were held with representatives from Japanese companies as part of the visit, and important agreements were reached to launch major industrial projects in our country.

A new industrial facility is set to be established in our country through a partnership between Turkmenistan, Japan, and Türkiye. A new factory with an annual production capacity of 1,155,000 tons of urea will be built in the village of Kiyanly in the Balkan Velayat of Turkmenistan.

A cooperation agreement was signed in Tokyo between "GAP İnşaat Yatırım ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş. (Türkiye)" and "Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan)" on the design, procurement, and construction of a plant for the production of urea with a capacity of 1,155,000 tons per year in the village of Kiyanly in the Balkan Velayat of Turkmenistan on a turnkey basis.
