Valentina Matviyenko, Speaker of the Federation Council, Russia's upper house of parliament, expressed gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye and country officials for their commitment to a peaceful resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.
Following talks with the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly (GNAT) of Türkiye, Numan Kurtulmuş, Matviyenko said, "I would like to personally thank President Erdoğan and the leadership of Türkiye for their stance in favour of a peaceful resolution to the Ukrainian conflict and for all the efforts they are making toward that goal."
Matviyenko is leading a delegation on an official visit to Türkiye from February 26 to 27.
