Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan described the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states as significant, saying, “We all live in the same region and can help one another.”
Hakan Fidan responded to a question from the Iranian Students’ News Agency (ISNA) today on the sidelines of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, addressing the gathering's significance and how joint consultations among Islamic countries could contribute to resolving regional issues.
“This meeting was very significant. As you know, Türkiye chaired the 51st session. Now, this responsibility is being handed over to Iraq. This is also an important matter,” Fidan said.
He continued: “As you know, Iraq has pursued significant policies in recent years. We all live in the same region, and we will help one another.”
Türkiye’s Foreign Minister also stated that economic issues, the Palestinian question, Israel’s aggression against Palestine and the occupation in Lebanon were among the topics discussed at the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers meeting.
