Speaking at an international forum in Turkmenistan on Friday, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye stated that Türkiye was committed to promoting peace and dialogue.
At the "International Forum on Peace and Trust" in Ashgabat, Erdoğan said, "As Türkiye, we are working with all our strength, guided by the sense of responsibility instilled by our history, geography, and civilisation, to ensure that peace and dialogue prevail."
He also added that Türkiye was prepared to offer tangible support to diplomatic efforts seeking to secure a ceasefire and lasting peace, including those related to the Russia-Ukraine war.
Regarding the Middle East, the Turkish President stated that Palestinian participation was crucial for all peace efforts and that the ultimate goal was a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine.
He further stated that the ceasefire in Gaza, which began in October, remained fragile and required strong and sustained support from the international community to continue.
