Foreign journalists from 41 countries invited to Türkiye for “Democracy and National Unity Day” (Azerbaijan)

Nine years have passed since the coup attempt that took place in Türkiye on July 15, 2016.

This year, a comprehensive press visit programme was organised in Ankara and Istanbul as part of the events for "Democracy and National Unity Day".

According to AZERTAC, the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Directorate of Communications issued a statement regarding the upcoming events.

The statement indicated that, alongside a journalist from each province of Türkiye, 120 foreign journalists from 41 different countries were invited to participate in the press visit program scheduled for July 14–18.

During the event, there will be a commemoration of martyrs, highlighting once more that this historic victory was attained through the nation's unwavering determination. The collective will shown by Türkiye in response to the coup attempt will be emphasised, along with the significance of social solidarity. The struggle against FETO, both prior to and following the July 15 coup attempt, will be conveyed to members of the international media in its entirety. In this context, not only will the coup attempt be addressed, but also the determination to take control of the people's future, sending a message to the global public.

This event will be an important platform for sending a strong message to the future while honouring the past.
