According to AZERTAC, Deputy Head of Communications Ferhat Pirinççi of the Presidency of Türkiye reported, “We have just concluded the 7th Meeting of Ministers and High-Level Officials in Charge of Media and Information of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) and jointly adopted a communiqué, which includes the 2026 OTS Action Plan outlining a roadmap for the organisation's activities. The following phase involves ensuring that the decisions proposed by Azerbaijan, the meeting host, are implemented effectively.”
Emphasising that similar views prevail in the field of information and communications across almost all OTS member states, Pirinççi said, "The ministers and high-level officials of all member states drew attention to nearly the same issues. The leading issues included media literacy, the fight against disinformation, and ensuring information is disseminated accurately and clearly.
In our capacities as the OTS and the Directorate of Communications of the Republic of Türkiye, we affirmed our commitment to fulfilling all communication-related responsibilities, ensuring that information reaches the public accurately, and supporting the organisation’s evolution from a strong regional actor to an international one. We stand ready to provide all forms of contribution to this process.”
