The Presidency's Head of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, stated, "All necessary measures will be taken to ensure its smooth and seamless progress, and all steps will be taken transparently with due diligence," regarding the process of a Terrorism-free Türkiye.
Fahrettin Altun made a statement on his social media account regarding the decision of the separatist terrorist organisation PKK to lay down arms and dissolve itself and emphasised that this is a clear indication that the process of "Terrorism-free Türkiye" led by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has reached an important stage by growing stronger. Altun continued, "Türkiye has paid a heavy price, endured hardships, and, most importantly, seen its sons martyred for the defence of the homeland over the course of more than 40 years to reach this stage. We commemorate with mercy and gratitude all our honoured martyrs, whose sacrifices have been the greatest contribution to this achievement, beyond comparison."
Fahrettin Altun pointed out that the process of Terrorism-free Türkiye is neither a short-term nor a superficial initiative, nor one that can be swiftly concluded, and added, "For our beautiful country Türkiye and our beloved nation to be free from terrorism, violence and chaos, and for the establishment of an environment where peace, tranquillity and stability prevail, the Republic of Türkiye will continue to work with all its knowledge, capacity and experience. All necessary measures will be taken to ensure its smooth and seamless progress, and all steps will be taken with sensitivity, transparency, determination, and due diligence."
