Erdoğan: We will continue to provide all kinds of assistance to Syria (United Arab Emirates)

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said they would continue to provide all kinds of assistance to Syria. In a statement on Monday, he condemned the violence in northern parts of Syria. Violence in Syria has been ongoing for the last few days.

President Erdoğan stated, "In the new process, we will continue to provide all kinds of assistance we can for our neighbour Syria to recover, safeguard its territorial integrity and unitary structure, and achieve peace with all its ethnic and sectarian elements."

According to data released by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights on Monday, 1,068 civilians have been killed in Syria in recent days. The majority of the deceased were Alawites belonging to Bashar al-Assad's tribe. It is worth noting that this is the first time such widespread violence has occurred since the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime on December 8, 2024.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan stated, "Türkiye strongly condemns all attacks, acts of terror, and intimidation aimed at undermining Syria's unity, stability, and social peace. We welcome President Shara's messages of moderation and appeasement, along with his determination to ensure that those who violate the law will be punished."

"In this context, diplomatic steps will also be taken to prevent incidents affecting Türkiye," Erdoğan also said. However, a detailed statement has yet to be made.

It should be noted that the government of Ahmed Shara, which succeeded Bashar al-Assad, has supported Türkiye from the outset. Numerous Turkish troops have been deployed in the interior of Syria and along the Syrian border.
