Erdoğan: We Support Efforts to Achieve Peace between Baku and Yerevan

President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stated that Ankara supports efforts to achieve peace between Baku and Yerevan.

Erdoğan made this statement during a meeting with the foreign ministers of Türkiye, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Iran, who were participating in the 3+3 Platform aimed at fostering cooperation in the South Caucasus.

In a statement released by the Presidency of Türkiye, it was noted that "President Erdoğan emphasised that Türkiye values the platform established for addressing regional issues through dialogue, expressing satisfaction with the positive transformations occurring in the South Caucasus as it moves towards enduring peace."

Erdoğan further stressed that Türkiye is committed to offering comprehensive support for the pursuit of enduring peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia and added that "the developments in the region call for strengthened cooperation and solidarity and that the transformation of the platform into an institutional structure would make the dialogue mechanism more effective."
