President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of the Republic of Türkiye today voiced his concern over the international system with the United Nations (UN) being incapable of protecting even its own personnel from Israeli attacks in Lebanon, and called on the Security Council to take action against Tel Aviv.
Erdoğan stated following the cabinet meeting in Ankara that the image of the United Nations, which cannot even protect its own personnel, has been tarnished and that this is a source of shame and concern for the international system, TRT Balkan reported.
Erdoğan expressed that it is the impotence of the United Nations Security Council to merely watch all these banditries from the stands.
"Honestly speaking, we wonder what the Security Council still waits to stop Israel," Erdoğan noted.
The President of Türkiye added that the Israeli government will not end its attacks as long as it receives unconditional support from the United States of America and Europe.
