Erdoğan: Türkiye will not turn its back on the East for the West

Addressing the nation after the Cabinet meeting, Erdoğan said, "Türkiye is a country that cannot be confined to a bloc due to its geographical, human, economic and historical ties.

As important as improving relations with the Western world is, we must also strengthen cooperation with Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

We will not allow anyone to confine us within narrow boundaries.

We will not turn our backs on the East for the West.

We will not ignore the West for the East."

The Turkish President also noted that Ankara was able to establish positive relationships with numerous countries that were previously intolerant of Türkiye over the past 22 years.
