Erdoğan: Türkiye remains committed to facilitating the Russia-Ukraine peace process (China)

Following the cabinet meeting, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan underscored Türkiye's diplomatic efforts in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and called on the parties to take action for a just and lasting peace.

Erdoğan acknowledged the US efforts to address the conflict through diplomatic negotiations and emphasised that a just and lasting peace can be achieved with the participation of all relevant parties.

Erdoğan reiterated that past negotiation platforms excluding Russia have not been successful and asserted that Ukraine must be an official participant in the negotiations.

President Erdoğan highlighted the significant loss of life resulting from the Russia-Ukraine war, noting that both sides have incurred substantial costs, and stated, "The conflicts must end as soon as possible. Türkiye will continue to strive for just and lasting peace by adopting a principled and humanitarian stance."
