Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that the renewed armed clashes in Druze, Syria, pose a threat to peace in the whole region.
According to the same source, during the phone call with Putin, Erdoğan stated that these clashes, which erupted in the wake of Syria's security forces' withdrawal from Suwayda, "threaten the entire region".
Erdoğan said he believes it is essential that Israel does not violate Syria's sovereignty.
