President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a videoconference with Türkiye’s first-ever astronaut, Alper Gezeravcı.
Erdoğan wished the astronaut success in his research on the International Space Station, stating that Türkiye's manned space mission will usher in a new age of space exploration.
Gezeravcı expressed his pleasure at the opportunity to represent Türkiye on this significant mission.
On the night of January 19, Alper Gezeravcı embarked on a journey to the International Space Station aboard the Dragon spacecraft, joining the crew of the Ax-3 mission.
