During a phone conversation with President Vladimir Putin of Russia, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye stated that Ankara stands ready to support all efforts to facilitate direct contacts between Russia and Ukraine.
"Bilateral relations, the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and various regional and global issues were addressed during the conversation. Our President stated that Türkiye stands ready to contribute to all diplomatic initiatives and promote plans that will facilitate direct contacts between the parties and pave the way for lasting peace in our region," the Presidency of Türkiye reported in a statement.
