President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stated that he wishes to bring the leaders of the United States, Russia, and Ukraine together in Türkiye.
Speaking after a Cabinet meeting, President Erdoğan said: “I wish to bring Putin and Zelenskyy together in İstanbul or Ankara. I would even like to bring Trump along. Let us turn İstanbul into a centre of peace.”
Russia and Ukraine previously completed the second round of negotiations in İstanbul. The talks, held at the Çırağan Palace, lasted over an hour. The Russian delegation was led by Vladimir Medinsky, while Rustem Umerov headed the Ukrainian side.
